Email Support

Replies come from support@wavex.live. If you don’t see one, check your Junk or Spam folder.

In Wave X, Contact Support fills in the details for you.

Wave X is made by one independent developer, so a reply can take a little while. Every message gets an answer, as quickly as possible.

What Wave X needs

A Mac with Apple silicon and macOS Tahoe 26 or later. Beta versions of macOS aren’t supported. Known problems with a new version of macOS are listed on this page.

I can’t find my license key

It appears on the confirmation page after you pay, and it’s in the receipt email from Polar. Search your mail for “Wave X”.

I erased or repaired my Mac

Enter your key in Wave X as before. If it says the key is already in use, choose Need Help? and pick what happened. Each license includes one self-service recovery for the same Mac. If that has been used, choose Contact Support, and support can restore Pro on that same Mac.

I have a new Mac

One Wave X Pro license unlocks Pro on one Mac. It can’t be shared or moved to a different Mac, so a new Mac needs its own license. Buy Pro

A Pro feature stopped working after a macOS update

Some Pro features (lock screen sync, accent and icon matching, and pointer matching) rely on macOS behavior Apple does not publicly document. A macOS update can change or stop those features, and it may not be possible to restore compatibility in every case. Make sure Wave X is up to date: choose Check for Updates… in its menu bar menu. If the feature still doesn’t work, email support.

Refunds

To request a refund within 14 days, email support@wavex.live with your order number. Refunds are processed through Polar. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected. You don’t need to give a reason; optional feedback helps make Wave X better.

After a refund, Pro turns off when Wave X next runs and completes its online license check. That is normally within a week, but later if the Mac is offline or Wave X isn’t running. Wave X then restores the settings it changed and removes its lock screen tiles. The full policy is in the Terms.

Updates

Wave X can check for updates once a day while “Check for updates automatically” is turned on. You can turn off automatic checks or check manually. Updates install automatically only if you turn on “Download and install automatically”, and then the next time Wave X quits; otherwise you choose when to install. Both settings are in Wave X › Settings › General.

Removing Wave X

Before you delete Wave X, undo what it changed:

  1. In Wave X, choose Settings › Appearance and turn off matching for the accent color, icons and pointer. Your own settings come back.
  2. Choose Settings › Lock Screen › Remove All Wave X Tiles….
  3. Choose Quit Wave X from its menu bar menu.
  4. Drag Wave X from Applications to the Trash.

If you already deleted Wave X, its lock screen tiles, or a changed accent color or pointer, may be left behind. The simplest fix is to download Wave X again, open it, follow the steps above, then delete it. To fix them by hand instead:
